Hey There!

My name is Richard, and I spend my time exploring, traveling, hiking, drinking coffee, and doing some crazy things.

I was born in a small town in upstate New York and have lived all over the United States. Once I ended up in another state, I knew there was so much out there to explore and be seen. I’ve climbed the highest point in 28 States and 26 peaks over 14,000 feet!

Having survived cancer, I view things a lot differently now. I began to explore more because I realized you only have one life, and it's essential to live it with no regrets. I love ghost towns, abandoned places, exploring history, and the absurd. This is why I ended up in Portland, Oregon. As the motto here goes, “Keep Portland Weird”.

Living in Portland, I’m in coffee heaven. Portland is considered the coffee roaster capital of the United States, with over 80 coffee roasters located here. I love coffee so you will be seeing a lot of super cool cafe spots too!

I’m out almost every weekend seeing and doing new things and the reason for this blog is to share my experience. I’m hoping you will find some useful information here and come across something you may want to see and get out there for yourself!
